The website has been built under many SHGs which offers products like women’s apparels, handicrafts, home décor items, herbal and organic farm and dairy products, patchwork and embroidery from Kutch and Jharkhand under one platform. Saheliworld reflects Tata Power’s sole aim of empowering rural women under different self-help groups by training them in handicrafts and tailoring and helping them to be financially independent. Each of our products are reasonably priced with a customer-friendly exchange policy in case a customer wishes to try a different product. Our website is also made in a way that customers can navigate swiftly from browsing the products to tracking them after purchase. All sales proceed will be channelled towards fulfilling the artisan’s dreams and improving their socio-economic status.

Today the Dhaaga initiative touches lives of 1050 women across 8 states of the country
(Delhi, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat).
There is a consistent supply of the products by these women to meet the stakeholder’s orders. There has been an additional increase in monthly income of these women in the range of Rs. 2000 – Rs. 5000 in a span of 1.5 years and further spearhead the intervention to enhance the production efficiency and strengthened the sustainability of the programme.
Social initiatives like Dhaaga and Maval dairy aims to uplift the livelihood of under privileged community by making them financially independent.
840 women empowered through Tata Power Delhi distribution’s social initiative #Abha Program across North and West Delhi residing in JJ clusters, where women representatives are engaged in reaching out to the residents to maximize the visibility of some of the community initiatives.
